ABOUT ME
My name is Marcello, and I am a native English speaker, born and raised in Toronto, Canada. In 2022 I decided to completely change my life and move to Italy. My choice was influenced by my grandparents' origins, who were born in Italy and immigrated to Canada in the 1950s. Thanks to their experiences, I received a small piece of Italian culture, and when I reached a certain age, I realized it was time to deepen and cultivate my passion for Italy.
MY JOURNEY
After attending Western University in London, Ontario for five years, I decided to take a different path by studying how to teach the English language. The desire to move to Italy was growing within me, and what better opportunity than to teach one of the most spoken languages in the world, which is also my mother tongue?
So, I studied to teach general English and also to teach preparation for specific exams like TOEFL and IELTS.​
EXPERIENCE IN ITALY
Once I finished my studies, I left for Italy in September 2022. During my first year, I studied the Italian language at a school called Leonardo Da Vinci in Florence, Italy fully immersing myself in Italian culture. I must say that it was the most challenging experience of my life, but after many ups and downs and a lot of hard work, I succeeded in achieving my language goals.
​​​​​In September 2023, I moved to Milan, Italy to start a new career as an English teacher. I collaborated with a private school called
“YES School,” where I taught many courses. Thanks to this experience, I also had the opportunity to teach in public schools through tenders, where YES School was selected to collaborate with different institutions in Milan.
ACTIVITIES STARTING FROM 2024
Currently, I have decided to continue my journey on my own, offering private lessons upon request. ​​I embarked on this career because, having been a language student myself and continuing to refine my knowledge of a second language, I understand very well what it means to start from scratch or have difficulty learning a language. I am aware of the difficulties and frustrations that can arise along your learning journey. Therefore, I decided to help anyone who wants to learn English, whether they start from 0 or simply wish to improve!

Speaking and listening are fundamental skills for achieving fluency, so I encourage students to actively participate in discussions on various topics, from the simplest to the more complex.​ If you need grammatical support, I will personalize the learning path based on your specific needs, addressing any doubts or difficulties together.
